Special Steel, S130

S130 is a Chrome-nickel steel stabilised by the additional of niobium to overcome intergranular corrosion common to other stainless grades after exposure to temperatures over 430 degrees C. The material is commonly used where corrosive conditions are severe such as aircraft exhaust stacks, manifolds and ring collectors in aerospace, defence and high technology sectors.
